After your admission to The Parkside Suite, your Consultant will visit you regularly to discuss your treatment. Please feel free to ask any questions regarding your care.

Patient Care

Our dedicated staff take pride in working as a team of professionals to provide the best possible medical treatment, nursing care and hotel services. With your help and co-operation, we aim to ensure your speedy recovery in the comfort and safety of the Parkside Suite. If you are concerned or unhappy about any aspect of your treatment, please discuss this with the Ward Sister or with the Nurse In Charge as soon as possible, to enable us to resolve the problem quickly.

Physiotherapy

The Parkside Physiotherapy Team provide a comprehensive service that includes assessment, treatment and discharge planning for any patient requiring physiotherapy .The purpose of physiotherapy is to restore function, activity and independence, and to prevent injury or illness. Physiotherapists encourage a holistic approach to healthcare and will consider areas such as lifestyle, work and leisure in order to facilitate the patient’s ability to self-manage.

The physiotherapy team is available 7 days a week to assess and treat as appropriate. The physiotherapists work in close liaison with medical staff, nurses and other health professionals in order to provide an effective and efficient service.

If follow-up physiotherapy is required on discharge the physiotherapist can provide information on local private practices and practitioners, and can then arrange for physiotherapy as an outpatient. If necessary a domiciliary physiotherapist can be organised to visit at home, if travel is a problem.

Please note: Follow-up (outpatient) physiotherapy charges are not included in the cost of the inpatient stay on the Parkside Suite. Settlement of outpatient physiotherapy fees is to be arranged between patient and practitioner taking over the care.
